ST. LOUIS COUNTY POLICE OFFICERS COLLECTIVE BARGAINING REPRESENTATIVE
There will be an election to determine if the St. Louis County Police Association should be recognized as the exclusive bargaining representative for Police Officers of the St. Louis County Police Department. The election is being held to determine the interest of Police Officers in authorizing a bargaining representative to conduct negotiations on their behalf as their exclusive bargaining representative for the purpose of collective bargaining, including bargaining with regard to wages, hours and working conditions.
The election will be held from 8:00 AM on Monday, January 26, 2009 until 8:00 AM on Monday, February 9, 2009. Only Police Officers that have completed probation will be eligible to vote. Secret ballots may be cast in the Bureau of Communications by contacting the on-duty watch supervisor during any shift (24 hours a day). After normal business hours, Police Officers may access the Bureau of Communications through the Central Ave. entrance to the Lawrence K. Roos Building using their Access Card and proceeding down the stairwell to the Concourse level. Access may also be gained through the Concourse level of the Courts parking garage or the Headquarters Building. Individuals eligible to vote must appear in person and present their Department Identification Card prior to obtaining a ballot. After the ballot is marked it will be placed in a secure ballot box in the Bureau of Communications.
Eligible Police Officers may vote while on-duty with prior approval of their supervisor or commander.
