Preamble
The St. Louis County Police Association exists for the welfare of the members.
We, the members of the St. Louis County Police Association, do hereby associate ourselves for the following purposes:
To support and defend the Constitution of the United States of America; to encourage our members to exercise the constitutionally protected rights and privileges of all citizens; to promote the impartial enforcement of law and order; to foster fidelity to duty under all circumstances; to improve the proficiency of our profession in the performance of duty, thus enhancing the confidence of the public in our dedication to the protection of life, liberty and property; to instill in our members a spirit of fraternalism and mutual helpfulness; to encourage and support charitable and social activities; to conduct all business in an honest, ethical and honorable manner; to advocate the continual improvement of the salaries, benefits and working conditions of our members, thereby attracting and retaining the finest employees to serve St. Louis County.
All terms used herein to denote gender shall be generic and, whenever appropriate, the singular shall include the plural and the plural shall include the singular.
